As you may know, there are TONS of chemicals in our water supply, along with pharmaceuticals that have either been flushed down the toilet or go into the water supply with people urinating. There are additives, etc. So, what is a family to do that wants to be healthy? Do you know your water? Well, some options out there are:
RO water: Reverse Osmosis. With this water system all chemicals, additives (good and bad) are removed from the water. You can purchase this at most grocery stores. It is around $.25 per gallon, you just need to purchase the jug (we have a 5 gallon) and the tank for it to sit on so you have a spout and it also cools the water.
Kangen water: This is expensive, but does remove all unwanted chemicals from our water, it also alkalanizes the water so we are not so acidic. The cool thing about this system is you can also make it acidic so if you want to use it as a cleaner instead of harsh chemicals to clean with, this would be a way to save you money on cleaners as well. You are able to change the alkaline/acidic levels on the system depending on your preference. http://www.kangen.com/
Nikken water: Removes almost all toxins from the water. It also has a rock system in which the water filtrates through rocks, as it does naturally in streams, as to not change the chemical makeup of the water. This is about half the price of the Kangen water system and it sounds almost identical as far as the filtration system. You cannot change the alkaline/acidic levels on this machine like Kangen though. http://www.nikken.com/

These are the systems we have found to be best from our research. Have you found any others that work better for your family? We would love to hear from you.
One of the first steps to choosing the right water system for your home is to have someone come out and test your water. Have your water tested so you know what chemicals are in your water supply where you live, so you know what chemicals you need to be removed from your water supply.
